CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT GROUP

Construction Management Group is a consulting firm that provides Project Management and Construction Consulting Services to owners and property managers in California, Hawaii, and Massachusetts. The company was formed in 2002 by David Kerr to take advantage of expanding opportunities in the Oahu construction market.

The company is currently managed by the three principals: David E. Kerr in California, George T. Pray in Massachusetts and Patrick Y. S. Tom in Hawaii. In 2006, David Kerr moved to Southern California and George Pray moved to Maine and then to Massachusetts. Each principal selects projects in his geographic region. Company administration is managed in California.

Each of our projects is represented by an officer/principal of the company. The Client has direct contact with the principal on all project matters. Our specialty is in the position of Owner’s Representative on large commercial and residential building projects.

Our extensive experience in the development and construction of major real estate projects works to the benefit of the entire project team. We are most effective when retained early in the project when we are able to assist the owner in establishing realistic budgets, reviewing preliminary designs and providing realistic preliminary development and construction budgets and schedules.

Each of our principals is a licensed General Contractor Responsible Managing Employee (RME) and each has extensive hands on experience in estimating and managing construction projects in Hawaii, the mainland and internationally. This experience is invaluable when selecting a general contractor and managing the construction phase of the project. This experience is also invaluable when coordinating the efforts of all the members of the project team: Owner, Designers, Contractors, Operators (or Lessees) and Lenders.
